Friendly Soap was founded by life-long friends Geoff Kerouac and Rob Costello in West Yorkshire, England. They use the traditional cold-process method of soap making, which produces biodegradable soap with zero waste. All the soaps are poured, cut, stamped and packed into plastic-free packaging by hand, minimising their environmental impact at every stage of production.

The soaps are made using natural plant based oils such as Coconut, Olive and Castor, and Shea Butter direct from a women's co-operative in Ghana. Colour and fragrance are added using natural Essential Oils, Flowers, Herbs and Spices, and natural exfoliants such as Poppy Seeds and Hemp Bran are added to some bars. The result is hand-made soap bars that create a luxurious, natural, silky smooth lather.

Friendly Soap are committed to producing soap that contains no animal products or by-products, and they are registered with Cruelty Free International and the Vegan Society.
